WeRize

WeRize is a Bengaluru-based fintech company founded in 2019 by Vishal Chopra and Himanshu Gupta. It started by building a financial services platform for families in small-town India, a space largely underserved by traditional and fintech players alike, offering customized credit distributed through a network of local entrepreneurs.

That network has since become the backbone for a much wider product suite. Beyond lending, WeRize now offers insurance, savings, mutual funds, bonds and co-branded credit cards, all delivered through the same community-driven, local-entrepreneur model. The goal today is a comprehensive financial services ecosystem built for India’s emerging middle class, still rooted in the same underserved, small-town households it started with.
